China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAAMM)

Founded in April 1990, the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAAMM, hereinafter referred to as "the Association") is currently governed by its sixth council, with Mr. Chen Zhi as the President.

The Association is a national, industry-oriented social organization voluntarily formed by enterprises, institutions, and social groups engaged in agricultural machinery manufacturing, research and development, and related sectors. It operates as a non-profit legal entity.

The supreme governing body of the Association is the General Assembly of Members. The Association operates under a council system, with the council elected democratically by the General Assembly of Members for a five-year term. Membership is institutional, encompassing over 1,700 member units.

The Association abides by the Constitution of the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers. Its permanent executive body is the Secretariat, which functions under the leadership of the President. Headquartered in Beijing, the Secretariat comprises four departments: General Office, Industry Affairs Department, Technology Development Department, and Information & Membership Department.

The Association oversees 17 product-specific branches, including those for tractors and harvesting machinery, as well as two specialized committees: the Information Committee and the Standardization Committee.

In accordance with the Constitution of the Communist Party of China, the Association establishes Party organizations, conducts Party activities, and ensures the necessary conditions for such activities. It is responsible for upholding political alignment, uniting the masses, advancing industry development, promoting advanced culture, supporting talent cultivation, and strengthening institutional governance.

The Association is registered with and supervised by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, with its Party affairs overseen by the CPC Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). It operates under the guidance and supervision of these authorities, along with relevant industry regulatory bodies.

To meet the evolving needs of China’s agricultural machinery industry, the Association remains committed to articulating industry aspirations and facilitating bidirectional services between the government and the sector. It prioritizes the implementation of national policies, safeguarding collective industry interests, and driving technological advancement and sustainable growth. Key functions include promoting industry self-regulation, fostering exchanges, conducting policy research, delivering consulting services, and organizing exhibitions. Through multifaceted industry initiatives, the Association acts as a critical "bridge" and "connector" between the government and the industry.

The Association maintains robust partnerships and collaborative exchanges with agricultural machinery associations in over ten countries, including Germany, Italy, the United States, France, Russia, Japan, and South Korea.
